The funny thing is Oregon was reaching out to people prior to Chipper signing with UCLA. Pretty clear cut that he doesnt want Oregon.

Some Duck honk tweeted Tony Dungy's son and asked how much to get him to take the coaching job at Oregon.
He said as his Dads agent, it would take a 75 mil/5 year deal.

Tough call. UCLA is in the middle of prime recruiting grounds but their facilities suck.

UCLA was stupid. Chipper's buyout is only $9 million.

It would be a major shitstain on Chipper to do that though.

Ive been worried for a while that Phil would go nuts and throw 10+ mil at some coach out of desperation at moments like this. Dont put it past him to lose his marbles going after a natty and throw a contract like that out to someone in the NFL or top college teams. Its gonna happen.

Oregon doesn't fvk around anymore after they got a taste of winning. Helfrich was kicked to the curb two years after making the CFP and then I thought they hit a home run with Taggert .. and his recruiting class .. that was until Jimbo Fisher decided to split and FSU came calling.
