It's called marketing and nobody does it better than Oregon does. They've got one of the best marketing departments available in Nike.

Their Duck mascot and unis are marketing to kids and this latest is marketing to the kid's moms.

My mom was only 42 when she was diagnosed with BC.. they weren't old and saggy yet.. it still killed her in the end at the age of 48

I've seen so much pink attached to uniforms in sports over the past 5-6 years the point is pretty mute now. Yeah breast cancer, it was cool to support and everything the first couple of years but now its just redundant. I see pink integrated into uniforms about 50% of the games I watch for breast cancer awareness. And no its not just because this month, I really feel like they're over doing it. I'm not trying to be an ass, but maybe mix up the awareness's or something.

Great cause and huge balls. The Ducks can pull it off just like Red Green could pull off wearing a pink shirt. Combiation of self-confidence in manhood and earned respect from even the most redneck dudes. Have a "salmon" (not true pink) shirt myself, I pull out afew times a year. I make it work by using duct tape to secure the sleaves instead of cufflinks.
