ESPN has picked the “Red Square” plaza around iconic Suzzallo Library in the center of the UW campus for its College GameDay national pregame show set. The live telecast will air from 6-9 a.m. Pacific time.

Suzzallo Library, known as “the soul of the university,” is a signature site on the UW campus. An image of it is on the back of the Husky basketball team’s game jerseys. It is named after Henry Suzzallo, the 15th president of UW who died in 1933

Haha Oregon literally fucked up Cal. Cals running backs took a beating what was it like 5 fumbles for both teams. Oh I was thinking about the famous 2009 game it was muddy and wet players were slipping all over the place Cal came in #6 so overrated and got handled by Oregon.

Hey Husky fans....being serious here.....Whats the local media saying up there about the game? Are they giving Washington a chance? Dawgs are getting no chance here in our media outlets, not even some of the big time local guys are giving UW a shot, just wondering what your locals are saying?

you all should read the shit storm going on twitter over the CGD coming to UW lol. Not only are UW/Oregon fans going at it hot and heavy, but the crying from SEC fans over them not coming to florida/LSU is fast and furious.

Fowler commented that if this was a taste of the rivalry they are in for a good one. It is getting their attention for sure.

This year Oregon & UofW are better than LSU & Florida. Can't understand whinning from anyone north of the SEC/Mason Dixon Line.

Some of us in SEC country would rather see Gameday in Seattle....I think the jimmy rustling might be in your mind...or at least restricted to LSU/Florida fans, it's not like Gameday isn't elsewhere regularly

I'll be curious to see if Oregon can cash all these checks the Duck faithful are writing. I'm $1700 to the good betting on the Ducks this season, but I'm not betting them this time...of course, I'm not betting Washington either...this one is strictly for entertainment purposes only.

Sports media was mostly digesting what occurred with Stanford game yesterday. But the stats of that game are giving many optimism about what can happen on Sat and that subject starting inserting itself into the discussions. Many were keying in on the fact we only dropped one spot in the polls for a loss. That the national respect for this program is there. That these couple weeks will show what we're made of. And of course loving on all the attention the new stadium and facilities will get. Got to be the most significant event for PACNW college football in years. Husky stadium is going to be rockin on Sat.


Everyone of course is amazed at ESPN gameday coming. Everything is going to crank up today. The week we've been waiting for is here.

I'm already clearing out max space on the DVR this week. Got to record the whole game day broadcast, plus the Husky and Seahawk games I always record anyway. Hope Game Day do a piece on the new facilities. That's serious recruit tool time.
