And that ONE Mtn. West softball team was BOISE STATE - with 3 votes in the receiving votes section of the final USA Today/NFCA Division I poll. Not too bad for a team that finished tied for 5th place in the Mtn. West. However it doesn't say much for this year's conference champion in softball (Colorado State) or the 2nd thru 4th place Mtn West softball teams (San Jose State, U.N.L.V. and Fresno State).
