Oh wow the Florida Panthers are on national TV tonight and its not the playoffs or part of Ovie's chase? Someone involved in programming is getting fired tonight.
I'm pretty sure every team gets at least one game, which is why we get on (fuck you Ovie!).

Obviously not because nobody there was trying to trade Nylander.

After he said it Steve Simmons was seen scribbling on a pad and muttering to himself "Now I know who in here is eating the hot dogs..."

Jay Bouwmeester update:

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced this morning that defenseman Jay Bouwmeester has undergone a successful Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) procedure at UC Irvine Medical Center in Anaheim.

The procedure, which restores the heart's normal rhythm, was performed by the cardiology team of the UCI Cardiology Department, headed by Chief Cardiologist Dr. Pranav M. Patel.

Currently, Bouwmeester is under the care of Dr. Patel as well as an expert team of UCI Electrophysiologists, including Dr. Michael Rochon-Duck and Dr. David Donaldson.

Upon approval of release by the UCI Cardiology Department, Bouwmeester will be flown back to St. Louis and monitored by Barnes Jewish Hospital and Washington University physicians.

The Blues will provide an update on Bouwmeester's status early next week.

This is angering. Considering the Leafs were up 3-2 at one point last spring against the eventual eastern conference champs I feel like this is incredibly fucked up.

Again, 5 PLAYOFF GAMES:

$5000:

There’s literally no fucking way these two things are so different that one is worth barely a fine and the other is worth someone missing the equivalent of ten regular season games.

The difference I see is that one is in a back-and-forth between players (Chara) and the other is just an out of nowhere predatory attack. I think the Kadri one is significantly worse because of that.

Chara deserves at least a game though. Just don't see how that isn't a suspension.

If it was me Kadri gets 4 and Chara gets 2. That is if we're considering both to be repeat offenders, which I do.

One is a cross check to the throat and the other is also a cross check to the throat.

Also, if we’re analyzing this situationally, maybe we take into account Chara’s 6’9 250 lb frame on Gallagher’s 5’9 180 lbs vs. Kadri and Debrusk’s nearly matching frames?

You can't start punishing players for their size though. One was part of an altercation and the other was a one sided, premeditated attack. Both are inexcusable but one is worse, IMO.

I was an infrequent sharpener for a long time and my skating style probably reflects it. I feel like someone could/(should?) have sat me down early and sold me on the benefits of sharp skates. Although my dad is probably too cheap for me to have done it right as a kid anyway

I have a feeling that you're a much better skater than I ever was (and my skating style resembled Tiger Williams), but I never felt comfortable with my skates razor sharp.

my son doesn’t either ... always wants it done before a practice ... where he’ll promptly go skates up into the boards :ohwell:

/and as I’ve said before and you can tell from above my son skates like mason raymond
