I get up and go to work before the sun comes up. After 30+ years of doing this and being paid 6 figures each year for it. I come home to realize that there are 6 year old Social Media Influencers that can buy and sell me.

Some days I feel like Rip Van Winkle waking up and going What in the HE double hockey sticks happened?

Same, I work in a field that didn't really exist when I was in school. I spend a lot of time every year continuing my education and I get paid pretty well to do it. But I walk through the family room and see my kid watching some dingus on youtube playing a video game she likes and look him up and realize he makes in one year what it would take me 7 years to make.

All he does is records himself playing a video game and shouting at his TV. I can shout at a TV playing video games. But can he reverse engineer zero day malicious software? NO.

Understanding I am a crusty old curmudgeon, it's very odd to me that "Social Media Influencer" is an actual career choice.

If there weren't so many idiots easily influenced (MAGA), this wouldn't be a thing.
