I heard on the radio (my bad if mentioned here) that his throwing AV under the bus was about what he learned about how AV treated his new teammate and former flyer nolan patrick… i guess av questioned his toughness and severity of injury (which iirc he did to players as coach of the canucks). But lehner bringing av into a story about/linking him to over prescribing painkillers was probably a few words too much
