I like the NBA system but wonder if that would work as well with larger rosters? I always thought the model worked well with the inherit smaller rosters, but I could be wrong.
NBA doesn't have a minor league system either, do they?

They have the G league but not sure how "developmental" it is and how their contracts tie into the Cap.

BTW...The "G" is for Gatorade since they sponsor it.

It’s becoming more developmental. To use another Raptors example, Pascal Siakam and Fred Van Vleet. One guy was a late first round pick (equivalent to a third rounder in hockey) and one was undrafted. Raps put both in their G-league team in Sauga for a couple of years and they came out as key players on their championship-winning team two years ago and are now two of their best players. Other teams have similar guys with similar developments.

If you ask the majority of Toronto sports fans, their favourite Freddy is VanVleet, not Andersen.

Maybe if they had done this when he ruined Wennberg five years ago. Or when he put ZAR in a dark room eating meals through a straw 4 years ago, maybe we wouldn't be at the point where we are.

He is Raffi Torres 2.0, and the league hasn't done enough.

Careful Ovi. Keep insulting the league and you'll get another 5k fine.

OV does have a point in a roundabout sort of way. The zebras (especially Dean Morton) are a joke for not calling a penalty on the play and they should be held accountable for not doing their job.

Yeah tend to agree. If there was consistency then this wouldn't be debated. About the only thing that is consistent is Tom Wilson never learning.

I love the fact that they let him get away with something literally last week and then this happened.

I’m fine with the first one.

If you’re going to implement the other two just get rid of the lottery.

Totally unfair assessment.

Torres was a bald mofo. Tom Wilson has beautiful hair with just the right amount of product.

Honestly, Wilson hadn't had a suspension since 2018 and has played much cleaner for quite some time.

Didn't think he deserved 7 for this hit, but certainly given his history I understand it. I would have done 3-4 myself if making the call.
