I really don't know why Treliving didn't re-sign Tobias Rieder, he had a pretty good year with the Flames last season and is a great PKer (something that the Flames have really struggled at this season). Also, I know the doctor repaired Leivo's knee, but did he take away his hands during the procedure? Geez, that guy stinks this season.

There were a few wearing blue and white in that video I didn't care for. Edmonton as a team has never been one of my favs or one I rooted against. Calgary on the other hand I do root against most every time I see them play.

The hit:

Nobody hits marketable star - gets 5 and a game. Marketable star is hurt, Nobody's team suffered a similar hit to one of their stars that was not punished at all last year. They are gonna line up the firing squad on this one.


5 and a game should be enough, IMO. Ugly, unnecessary hit but not worth more than has already been punished.

I can't say I'm a fan of the hit, but I'm also not a fan of a guy getting two games when I don't think the head was the principle point of contact. I think the match penalty was punishment enough. I agree with what 43 said earlier.
