Shit, if Crosby was legitimately available I'd go Jones AND Weresnki AND Savard for him. He's already proven he can win without a defence. We'd still have 4 D better than anyone in Pittsburgh at the moment.

The Sabres has scored 15 even strength goals in 13 games. You don't need fancy stats to realize that's not good.

Haven't scored one in three games back from their covid break. And yet somehow a top five PP.

Side note: just learned today that the league finally tracks a net PP% where they account for SHGs against. Scoring a boatload of PPGs doesn't matter as much if you're giving up half as many SHGs.

I think Sid still has 4-5 years of being a point-per-game player in him if he stays healthy. He'd be worth any outlay.

Unfortunately, if he does ever leave the Pens I have a feeling the only place he'd want to go is Montreal.
