There’s gonna be a lot of GM openings in the near future. I thought SJ had a chance at getting better but they look much worse. Calgary isn’t looking great despite the big offseason spending. The Sens owner apparently thought they’d contend so maybe there. Buffalo still sucks. Vancouver obviously. And Nashville..Poile’s gotta be near the end of his rope there.

While true, we just got (another) new GM this season. Presumably he gets a couple years at least.

True. Guess it all depends on if ownership trusts him to trade Eichel (which would almost be a certainty if things continue on this trajectory).

He did coax Hall there so he may very well be decent at the job.

And I said they suck but the Sabres have been really unlucky, losing a bunch of one goal & OT games. They could still make a go of it. It’s just such a tough division, much like the Atlantic usually is (fun fact: three of the four current division leaders are Atlantic Division teams lol).
