Yeah honestly I can't see him being worse than the 6th d-man on any roster.
I guess with the cap uncertainty going into next year the chances of him getting a contract were slim?
Anyway, looking that stretch from 09-10 through the strike-shortened season hurts more for him due to the injuries.

that Habs vs. Nords game is the Good Friday Massacre, which sees *11* players ejected and 252 PIMs handed out. There's a 14-fight brawl to end the second period and then a second brawl before the third period even starts. It's insane.
