But they can healthy scratch/not dress up to three or four.

The "not be team employees" might be the sticking point. Aren't most EBUGs practice players for their teams? I know the one in Columbus is. He's the tackling dummy for optional skates and working with the IR players. As well as being a low attention span having douchebag.

But again "use the local EBUG or play with 6 skaters". If you don't wanna use the provided EBUG, then have your own eat a contract spot or put your 6D back there.

the canucks always seem to have a kid from ubc (university of a billion chinese as dash likes to call it  lol )

i went to canucks skills comp. in 2019 and they had an alumni game and i came to find out one of the goalies in that game was a goalie (non alumni) the canucks used for practices. He was in his early 50’s and every time he went into the butterfly he stayed there until his team left the zone and then he slowly got up on his skates lol (they sometimes use fred braithwaites bro who works for the team in community relations)

Indefinitely extending Jack Johnson's career.

I played a lot of hockey with Rod. He played out, but always wore goalie skates.
Always tried to get him to play goal for us, but he wouldn't.

Marchand just had a chance to pass the puck for an EN goal to clinch the game against Dallas but took the shot like an asshole, Stars got it back, went back the other way and scored lol

I did not know this. I was going with ROW as the tiebreaker. Hmmmm.

Yup, and the Flames are hurting in that category (which makes last night's loss which should have been a regulation win hurt that much more). Oh well, if they can keep playing like they have the last two games, they should be okay.

/Backlund has been on fire as of late

This really changes how I was feeling about the playoff races.

NYR and the Oilers are in a much better position then I thought.

Did ROW ever actually act as a tiebreak for getting into or missing the playoffs?
Looks like it factored in the 2012-13 lockout season. Minnesota was in, Columbus wasn't.

Montreal got in in 2008-09 and Florida didn't with otherwise equal records, but ROW stat wasn't apparently kept back then, so I'm not sure how they decided.

Saw a few cases - most notably STL last year - where seeding was impacted too.

IIRC they used the old standby "roche, papier, ciseaux" and Florida forget to send their Quebecois snowbirds for the match

I think it used to be head-to-head record, then goal differential.
