It just occurred to me that the Boston Bruins, as well as they've been playing, could very realistically have chosen Boeser, Barzal and Chabot instead of Senyshyn, DeBrusk and Zboril iin 2015. How good would that team look right now?

His decline has been in the mail for some time now. I don't see a huge Eric Staal-type rebound either. Spezz is pretty much done.

I can't believe it's been almost 4 years since he went there. Kinda puts into perspective that Jim Nill's been there even longer and Dallas really hasn't done much during his tenure despite having two of the best players in the league on their roster.

Yeah, Spezza's 35 in June, had a good career, one of the top 5 Senators of all time but got to think his career may be over soon.

Just a refresher, Buffalo gave up two roster players, a good prospect, a bad prospect and a first rounder for Kane when he had three years left on his contract. Now that he's expiring (oh, and fighting with teammates again) Buffalo thinks he's worth all that minus Brendan Lemieux?
