Hart's gonna be interesting as hell. If we just keep it among the forwards, McDavid gets all kinda buzz and airtime but he's pretty far back in terms of goalscoring from the others at the top of the points race.

Of course, that means he's killing it with assists but since we tend to poo poo on secondary assists these days, here's some primary assist numbers:

McDavid: 26
Malkin: 17
Crosby: 15
Kane: 14
Marchand: 14

Boy, Connor's made Patrick Maroon look pretty damn good this year.

Combine goals with primary assists and the top of the points board looks as such:

McDavid: 50
Malkin: 50
Crosby: 50
Marchand: 50
Kane: 45

This thing's gonna be tight. It's going to be interesting to see how voters reconcile Crosby and Malkin's fewer games played with the fact opposing coaches have to gamble on which line to play their top pair against vs. the Pens, a problem they generally wouldn't have against the other guys.

For me, given Crosby's less-shiny linemates, I don't know how anyone can look past him right now for the Hart. He's done more with less in less games.
