Never have liked Perron, so I'm going to declare the Pens trade winners on that alone.

Amen brutha. I disliked him ever since he played in St. Louis and in Edmonton. He hasn't been as douchy as a Pen, but he'll fit right in with Fairy, Getsloth and Kessel...

Perron and Hagelin look pretty similar on paper and are very close cap-wise so why throw in Clendening?

I don't think the Pens are done making moves, so you open up a roster spot (and a contract) by tossing Clendening into the trade.

/Not sure how close the Pens are to the 50 contract max.

Dave Hodge is a grumpy old curmudgeon, but I did like this paragraph:

The most disappointing team? Well, here’s where the real debate starts.

I give you seven candidates - Pittsburgh, Ottawa, Anaheim, Nashville, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Calgary. Edmonton, too, perhaps, although the Oilers are such perennial losers they’re beyond the “disappointment” stage. Connor McDavid’s injury is this season’s letdown, thus far.

Thumbs to Blackhawks, mid-season surprises and disappointments

I think style-wise, both Perron and Hagelin will fit in better on their new teams. Could work out well for each team.

I hope to see Kesler centering Perry and Perron at least once. Opposing players will have a tough time deciding which of those three they want to spear in the junk the most.

Well the Blues scored 34 seconds in. Time for Therrien to juggle the lines.

Galley: The Habs are in the Blues kitchen and they're rattling all the pots and pans.

Am I watching NHL hockey or the Food Network?

We can't even rise to the level of disappointment.

Yeah I understand the teams total dislike for Perron and Clendenning but this trade makes no sense. Stuck with Hagelin for 3 more years for two players with expiring contracts.

Lets hope Hagelin learns how to score goals.

They have no LW depth, and the market next year is probably not gonna help the Pens needs (Lucic, Loui Eriksson, Andrew Ladd likely too expensive or not a fit...others not worth it). Ultimately, view this as acquiring him in FA with Perron leaving.

Oh Markov :L
Galchenyuk falling down did not help.

At least this was an entertaining game, can't say that about most the last 2 months. They just suck.
