How stupid are the flyers fans in attendance for booing the consecutive high sticking double minors theyve taken

They see the replays on the big screen

They see the players are bleeding

Do they think its fake news ?

/gotta hope theyre booing their own players for boneheaded penalties

Did Manning and Del Zotto put some money on the dressing room board for most PIM's tonight?

It's not like he goes at him with speed. It's off the FO. He said after the game he was trying to elbow him just not in the face, which I half-believe. A game would probably do here but I wouldn't be surprised by a lack of suspension.

On the other hand, why didn't Hall go at it with him when he came and found him after? He went up like he was ready to throw then just turned his back and kinda turtled a bit. If you're gonna throw bows like Ludacris at least back it up.

Anyone wondering why Erik Karlsson's offensive numbers are down this year (not that 34 points in 40 games is anything to sneeze at)? His usage under Boucher is much different than under Davey boy Cameron; he's often being used as a defensive matchup. Here's EK against Crosby's shifts last night. Ottawa was at home and had last change.

It's a very defence-first system that has cut goals-against down significantly. This is good. So why are they only 4 pts better than they were after 40 games last season?

Oh.

That's not good.

Jesus. Okay.

ALRIGHT!

It's Boucher hockey. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Travis Yost also went into Karlsson's production and usage and put a lot of it on Boucher cutting a few shifts per game from EK in favour of the second pair although some of the arguments made I'm not a fan of; ie: being aided this season by a high sv% by goaltending when him and Methot are on the ice in comparison to career average. You can just as easily argue more responsible defensive play has resulted in easier stops for the goalie to make.

Yost is horrible. If you watch 10 Senators games this year vs. 10 from last year you'd take a giant shit on that article and most of those stats. You sum up (the bolded) pretty much why a lot of those defensive zone stats are the way they are. The offensive zone time has more to do with Boucher focusing almost all his attention cleaning up the defensive mess that the Senators were. There are still flaws in the team but the system is night and day compared with last year (was there even a system last year?).

Different sample sizes, I know, but this team is on pace for 98 points vs a team that finished with 85 last year, despite missing their starting goalie for a large chunk of the first half.

I agree with a lot of this but those offensive stats are pretty startling.

Yeah. They've been all about the defense so far. To be fair (reported!!) Boucher has admitted as much. He's been saying lately that he's getting comfortable with the defensivve side of things and is starting to work on the other side of the puck. The (slight) improvements to the PP lend SOME credence to that.

Do all teams in places where hockey shouldn't be end their trade announcements with "Full, half, MTN Dew 15-Game Mini Plan, Forsberg's Big Game 9 Pack and 7th Man Pick'em Pack season-ticket holders continue to receive the biggest savings and the most comprehensive benefits that Smashville has to offer. In addition to saving money off the individual ticket price and gaining access to certain games only available through plans, these plan holders receive 20 percent off at the Predators Team Store, 10 percent off at Bridgestone Arena concession stands and highest distinction in Smashville Rewards, the official rewards program of the Nashville Predators. Great interest-free payment plans are currently available for all Nashville Predators season-ticket packages, with full-season packages starting as low as $18 per game and half-season packages beginning at $30 per game."?

I don't know, BBB, Preds fans are loud, loyal, and appear to love their hockey. Put it this way, they're not Florida or Carolina as far as a troubled market is concerned.

I don't think Nashville's ever broken the top 20 in league attendance. For a team that's made the playoffs in 9 of the past 12 years, that's rather shit.
