Well, that will get them over the hump. I hope he gets all the press conferences.

Reporter: Todd, Stamkos signed in Arizona and Drouin has demanded a trade again. What's the mood in your room right now?
Todd: Uhhhh. There are concerns. Yep.
Reporter: Okay, what is your plan heading into the season?
Todd: I have no answers.

I always knew Filly was the next Jagr. Except, you know, for the being a good hockey player part. :L

If he could have just waited a few years, maybe it would have worked out in Columbus.

/We just got a Casino a year or so ago.

Dreger: "I've been told by both parties here that Jacob Trouba is absolutely willing to sign and stay in Winnipeg." #NHLJets 1290

I envy the young prospects the Jets have and to think they are adding Laine in the entry draft, geez no reason that team can't complete for the playoffs if not next season the season after.

Gary Bettman is a petty, bitter man.

NHL sues NHLPA to vacate Wideman suspension

Edit: My favo(u)rite part (and this is taken right from the current CBA):

The NDA decision shall be final and binding in all respects and not subject to review.

One part of final, binding in all respects, and not subject to review do you misunderstand, Gary.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- NHL commissioner Gary Bettman refuted reports Thursday that an announcement was imminent on the sale and relocation of the Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg.

"So people just make this stuff up, right?" said Bettman, who was attending Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals between the
Detroit Red Wings and San Jose Sharks. "Where's the accountability from all the people who a month ago were saying that Phoenix was definitely going? Whatever is being written [about Atlanta] is being made up."

Bettman gives Carolina his vote of confidence.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman says Hurricanes relocation rumors unfounded

RIP Carolina.
Atlanta Thrashers’ move to Winnipeg not complete, parties insist | Toronto Star

Bill Daly said by email Thursday night that “the board has not been asked to consider nor approve any transaction involving the sale and/or possible relocation of the Atlanta Thrashers' franchise. . . . Any suggestion to the contrary is entirely untrue.”

**This article was initially printed May 20, 2011 (not sure why it says Dec. 2012 on the page). The Thrashers moved 11 days later.

Also, it needs to be said that if it weren't for the league bending over backwards and giving the current Coyotes owners a sweetheart deal (essentially putting up little of their own money to buy the team), the Coyotes would no longer be in Glendale.
