Do you want Carlyle back? Do you think that the Pens and their fans want Johnston back? Doesn't that just about say it all?

I think what he was saying is that he wants Horachek back because TANKZZZZZZ!!!

Are you impling in a couple of weeks Phil and the rest of the Pens will have nothing better to do then catch ball games?

:pound:
The pessimist in me says so.

What does everyone think of the news today about the emails released to do with concussions?

Link between fighting, concussions, ‘personal tragedies’ discussed in unsealed NHL emails

I think the end of the article sums up what a slimeball the gerbil truly is...

“Can you believe this run of injuries,” Bettman wrote in a Dec. 17, 2011, email. “Couturier just took a puck to the head.”

Shanahan replied: “Another busy night.”

“How bad?” Bettman wrote.

“Just a couple plays but one on a Boston player and one on Mtl player,” Shanahan wrote. “As it turns out I think only the Boston MIGHT get a small suspension. The Mtl player picks the head but the NJ players leans ‘just prior’. No injury and no history. Very similar to Malone/Campoli (but in their favor this time)”

“Any more concussions?” Bettman replied.

“Not so far,” Shanahan replied.

“Night is young!” Bettman wrote.

Nashville will absolutely file a tampering charge if he goes to Toronto but, meh. Kid can't talk to his dad these days? And be told that his employer will double his salary, probably?

They'd probably have a better case if his dad was a welder who they hired as a scout rather than a former pro hockey player himself. If the Leafs sign him (or even if they don't) Nashville will file a complaint, but I can't see how they'll prove/win it

Went to the Caps' game tonight - President's Trophy secure! What a wonderful season it's been as a Caps' fan. Kuznetsov emerging, Holtby's strong play, the blue liners playing great, Ovechkin continues to be who he's always been, and Oshie and Williams have been great additions.

Now... work to do.

Dave Tippett coached teams play the most boring hockey imaginable. He'd probably find a way to make the 80s Oilers boring.

It's going to be difficult to stop the Oilers form getting the #1 pick when even the linesmen are in on the tank.

I don't believe I've seen one blow an offside call as bad as they did at the end of the game since the first lockout. Or was it the second lockout?

Shinky has his first point as a Calgary Flame (an apple).

Edit: Upon further review, I think he tipped the Brodie shot home (it could be his first NHL goal).
