Glad there is still another 9 - 10 games left to the season. Looking at the first round matchups based on today, the pairings are underwhelming to say the least

In the East:

FLA-NYI
TPA-BOS
WSH-DET
NYR-PIT

i guess the last one is the best of a meh lot.

West:

LAK-NSH
ANA-SJS
DAL-COL
STL-CHI

Better then the East, but not by much. And, half the games will be PDT.

/not that a Canadian team in the mix would improve anything.

Depending on which Islanders, Bruins, and Red Wings teams decide to show up for those matchups, the first three in the East could be anywhere from pretty entertaining to absolutely unwatchable. LAK-NSH is destined to be a snoozefest, and DAL-COL has the potential to be a comedy of errors.

based upon those 1st round matches I think we see a Boston Washington East final and in the West Dallas and Los Angeles. Washington lA is my Cup pick right now.
