I had a guy on my team, was 20 years old straight off of the Prince George Cougars - he used to eat a grilled cheese sandwich and a side a fries while getting dressed for the game.

Had a friend who was really good until about 17. He downed two big macs pre-game after a little of the devil's lettuce. He was usually the best player on the ice.

Guess it just works for some guys.

I can't remember who it was but after giving up three shorties against the Powerhouse Oilers in the 80's, a coach asked if he could decline the next penalty. I want to say it was Al Arbour, but I don't remember.
