Yay. Blue Jackets get a national game and it's Nik Lidstrom night. Plus, Kronwall is back.

RIP Jackets.

Interesting:

@renlavoietva: Before Dennis Wideman suspension, Flames had 5+ penalties in a game only twice in 45 games. In the last 9 games, Flames have 5+ penalties in a game 3 times.

One more penalty tonight and it will be 4 in 10.

I don't mind a loss if the Flames put forth a valiant effort like they did in that 3rd period tonight.

So sad when a team decides to start gooning it up.

Makes sense that the Jackets have someone there. They have too many D men and the Preds have exactly the #1C the Jackets need.

Imagine if the Caps still had Filip Forsberg (who just tallied his 21st goal of the season for the Preds).

So weird Dash because I was just thinking about that and looked up his stats last night. E-RAT! (said like "Newman" on Seinfeld) Our top 6 would be ridiculous, but the one right now is pretty ridiculous anyway.

Especially because THIS guy is really good at playing the game of hockey...

The balance of offense/defense, young/old, scoring/possession, experience/brashness and size/speed is just right with this team.

Yeah, the Islanders situation is getting interesting quickly. Barclays is simply not a hockey arena. Hope a team with all history doesn't have to relocate out of New York.

The out clause in the lease is interesting. And the fact that the people who made the lease agreement are no longer involved. I hope they end up in Queens or somewhere on the Island. The whole thing has been a fiasco from the start. Only the Islanderssss.....ugh.

My guess is, if they come back, they will get an arena in Suffolk County, not Nassau again.

I don't think there's anyway the league allows them to play in a 13k arena, so if they want out it seems Queens is their only option. Or leaving in general.

Well if that's the case, then getting this out now helps. If they wanted to exercise the out clause in the contract, it sure as shit won't take 6-8 months to build an arena. This has been a mess from the start. Barclays is supposedly losing money on the Isles, so the feelings are probably going to be mutual if the Isles leave.

There's talk about the Coyotes getting a new arena in the Phoenix area. They've already got an arena for the Suns & an arena for the Coyotes & could build a third arena. Yet the Isles haven't been able to get one. It's RIDICULOUS!!

What arena options are there in Queens? I honestly don't know.

I know Continetal Airlines Arena (Meadowlands) is likely to be demolished in 2017. Been closed a few years. It has enough seats, but probably not going to get a lot of Isles fans going out there.
