Avs are getting some bodies back...

That Central division is shaping up to be scary. With the Jets and Wild playing lights out, the Stars being a well-deserved Cup pick by many and the Avs getting healthy that division is going to be hell to make the top 3. Pre-season darlings Nashville might have played their way out of it already but they have the talent to make some noise and even Utah looks improved. Might see five make it from that division.

The Devils beat the defending Stanley Cup champs 10-3 on aggregate (both games in Sunrise).

My wife is a Ducks fan (shame)
She just got an email for ticket deal
2 tickets ( nosebleed) 2 personal pizzas and 2 beers for $68 including all fees.
2 tickets in that area normally are 68
Might not be a sellout

I will add that the Preds probably deserved at least a point last night, Wolf was the main reason the Flames won that game, he made at least a half-dozen ten-bell saves last night.

Hot goalie, posts, crossbars, it’s getting old with the Preds.

They never dictate play and rarely show up on time. Which is incredible when you look at the roster. 3 Conn Smythe winners but no identity.

For me, this is on Trotz. Signs Stamkos and Marchessault then gives them a Centre like Colton Sissons or Jusso Parssine. Criminal.

Marchesssault makes one bonehead play a game that directly leads to a goal against. Sometimes it’s a dumb penalty but usually a bad turnover.

Back to Trotz. He has to fix this. The drumbeats are already started to trade Nyquist. O’Reilly has been ineffective but he is the horribly miscast 1C. But more than anything the culture of the team is off and has been for years. I would look at the long term core to shake things up. Meaning Josi or Forsberg. Definitely need to give Josi the Tavares treatment.

On the bright side, they have 3 first rounders this year and their own will be a top lottery pick

I watched a video the other day from the youtuber Hockey Psychology who comprises some excellent content and he put together his thoughts on the Preds, their shooting percentage and PDO are both last in the league, so they certainly have had no puck luck this season, but he also highlights that they are one of the slowest skating teams in the league. He makes the point that if you think Stamkos and Marchessault are to blame for the lack of foot speed, they were also a slow team last season.

It certainly doesn't help that they play in a very tough division, even if they manage to go on a heater, it's going to be tough to make up much ground on the Jets, Stars, and Wild. Is it just me or is nobody talking about how good the Wild have been this season?
