It's weird, maybe it's just a case of a guy being a late bloomer, he seems to me to be a guy who can certainly put up some points (i.e. has some skill) and obviously he's getting plenty of ice time with the Hawks this season.

Granted they only have 7 forwards (4 on IR currently) under contract next year.
