It doesn't do much good to speculate, but I'm thinking it's a team-related matter (maybe Perry had a run-in with a Hawks coach or player which resulted in him being scratched and then not present at the next day morning skate). The team than took some time getting their ducks in a row on how to handle things.

/I'm hoping it's nothing more serious than that - Put it this way, if it was a family related thing (somebody in Perry's family was very ill or died suddenly, I'm sure we would have heard that come out in short order).
Yeah I agree not speculating more along the lines of how odd as they said something different the other day like @puckhead mentioned.

I hope it isn’t serious but none of the communication they have done so far has helped, only made it worse.

I know it is early, but that 2022 NHL draft I totally forgot how shallow it was.

Anyway, the forgotten team quietly is starting to get the best results out of any player in the draft so far.

Did not realize this happened last night and if already posted my bad. Most goals ever for a team that took less than 15 shots.
I guess the old adage you don't have to shoot too much. :D

The Avalanche organization going all out to pay tribute to Chris Snow and his surviving family members deserves more than just a

Cale Makar took an Elias Lindholm slapper off his hand, went to the Avs dressing room and has not returned to the game.

I also noted the fact that Draisaitl's name came up almost immediately, he's very dirty with the slew foot just like Hartman.
