Moog should have an outside shot at the Hall. Between 82-95 he had more wins than any other goalie, was 6th in sv% among goalies with more than 400 starts during that period and an .890 sv% in the playoffs which, while perhaps underwhelming, is only .005 less than Mike Vernon during a similar period of time. He also backstopped two teams to Finals they lost and played from game 3 onward in Edmonton's first Cup.

Could be one of those names that comes up in a few years the way Vernon and Barrasso did this year.

cautiouly optimistic. Rough start was expected with a new coach, new system, lots of turnover at F, and a lot of young kids. One line is now set with O’Reilly/Nyquist/Forsberg, Early injuries to McDonough and Schenectady did not help but the D is setting down now.

Still not nearly enough depth to be a serious threat and there will be plenty 5-1 nights, but at least they should be competitive.

And there will always be young female fans wearing a jersey, white cowboy boots and nothing in between.
