Not sure what most of these teams could offer Buffalo but…

The only team there that doesn't need to send salary back or force the Sabres to retain are the Flames.
Not sure, though, what the Sabres would want?

If the Sabres are looking for immediate help, I don't think the Flames can offer much. The Flames don't really have a centre that would entice Buffalo aside from Frost, but why would you want to flip a guy who looks to be just as good as the guy you're trying to acquire?

I think the Habs have some interesting players that Buffalo should look at, though.

could it be that the Sabres are trying to get Canucks to pull the trigger on trading dekey Pete to them for Cozens and Byram (and more hopefully lol) ... which has been out there in rumourville forever. Didnt BizNasty tell Aquilini to pull the trigger on that one a couple weeks back lol

Jimbo2 and Allvin apparently love Cozens :noidea: ... throwing a list of teams out their publicly to say hey ... youre gonna lose out on Cozens to one of these 63 teams :pound:

I hope it was a joke post, but I saw somebody say put Zayne Parekh in a package for Cozens and my initial thought was if anybody needs to add, it's the Sabres lol

Last time the transfers shocked hockey fans: The Sharks release their superstar Granlund to the Stars in exchange for the Sharks getting a 1st draft round and a 3rd draft round, the news shocks me because Granlund was absolutely great this time, JT Miller to Rangers was the expectation last season, JT Miller was a top 20 scorer machine in the last season, JT Miller started bad this year. Now defenceman Miller has his same nickname as JT Miller. Rangers now look stronger. Sharks will probably have to pick up a top-10 or top-17 draft pick in the 1st draft. The trade by Necas and Rantanen is better. Rantanen momentarily topp 10 leaders Necas momentarily topp 16.

What NHL team has the worst facilities?

"It used to be Carolina, but then they upgraded,” one player said. “And somehow it's still Carolina."

I laughed. Audibly.
Couple of good lines in there.

"I really don't know what that guy does" - Talking about Bettman.

Calgary has to be high up there in the worst facilities, I imagine.

I let mine lapse when the Times took over and essentially fired all of the local journalists who werewhy I subscribed in the first place. But there is a way around the pay wall. You can paste the story link in at the Webpage Archive website and more times than not the article is already archived and readable there

Huzzah!! That works like a hot damn lol

Regarding the facilities in Calgary...

On Calgary: "I hate saying that, because I love playing in that building. But the setup there is not cool."

I’ll occasionally plug a Dallas Morning News story in there to share. We’re pretty spoiled here with our writers.

Good there is another work around. The no script trick still works for me.

Weird

For Huby? I would do it

Flames would save 1.5 million on the cap per season and then you also can get a boatload of assets for Rasmus Andersson when you trade him away with Josi stepping in as his replacement.

It won't happen, but it's fun to think about.

K'Andre Miller #79 defenceman.

J. T. Miller #8 center.

I claimed two Rangers players of the same surname.

My sneaky Leafs target this deadline. Hoping he’s tired of losing in Nashville and wants to lose elsewhere.

I have wondered about this. Preds don’t need more draft picks, so that works. They need young talent with proven scoring ability. Soooooo, Robertson? Cowan? Not Minten. Leafs would need to move salary of course. Rielly? Something could be put together

Don’t think the Leafs need to move salary if the Preds eat half. And Rielly isn’t going anywhere no matter how many DeRozan comparisons he gets online - he signed there with a NMC because both he and his wife love it there and he’s not about to uproot that with a newborn in tow.

A first, two firsts, Minten, Cowan, a combination, pick swaps in 2035…I really don’t care. The Leafs have roster issues all over but 1D is absolutely their worst one and Josi would give them that for at least two runs. There’s nothing to lose now, especially with the cap going up and especially especially with the possibility of losing both Marner and JT this summer.

If they get through the intramural tournament without any significant injuries they need to do that or something like that. If all they do this deadline is grab Luke Schenn or some other third pair plug and a depth winger it’s going to be another early exit.
