I live on the outskirts of the Washington, DC area. Sports radio out here is a hoot with the way RGIII keeps making headlines, even after being relegated to the 3rd string just a week or so after proclaiming himself to be the best QB in the league.

Now the conversations center around the possibility the Redskins will attempt to trade and/or cut RG altogether. And of course, no trade talk is complete without the "potential partners" talk. And who keeps coming up? Our beloved rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs!

Now as one analyst noted, it would be a good situation for RG, but the Chiefs don't necessarily need RG on their roster. With Smith firmly at the helm, RG would not be an upgrade and comes with too much drama. Still, there are a lot of different sources speculating the Chiefs to be a trade partner.

One can only hope.

Personally I think RGIII's number is up. Maybe he lasts a couple more yrs on somebody's roster and manages a few more paychecks by some teams that are still entranced by his rookie season and don't see the real picture. Definitely won't be a shocker if he's totally dissed before that even happens. One thing we know for sure...he's done in Washington D.C. :). Except of course if Gruden gets ax first. That case, Snyder gets to continue his man-crush on Robby for at least a tad longer.:)

I don't think ther is any chance of trading him with his contract. As I understand it, this year is manageable at just over $4MM, it's next year when he gets $15MM.

I think you are right. Contract will be the biggest hindrance for him getting traded. Now if he is cut I could see about 10 teams wanting to take a look at him. He has shown that he does have some talent. He needs a team that will bench him for a year though, teach him how to play the QB position, then actually believe in him from the FO to the coaches then to the players. I'm good with us just going with Osweiler though.

He has to dump the arrogance first and realize that it's the coaches' jobs to design the playbook, not his job. There's a reason he has no respect in Washington, and it has nothing to do with injuries.

Oh I agree that is why he needs to go to an organization that is going to bench him from the get go for an entire year no matter what is happening. He needs that year to contemplate all that is going on and realize he has an opportunity to be great but he doesn't have to do it alone and shouldn't try to do it alone. LIke I said he has shown some great signs of greatness but his pride is getting in the way of showing that on a consistent basis.

It's absolutely staggering to consider what Washington gave up for RGIII. It has set that organization back years, if not a decade. What a mess out there.

That is the joy of the draft of it can make you look like a fool or look like a genius. They were commenting the other day on the Browns trade with Atlanta and now with Phil Taylor being released not a single player from that trade is still with the Browns. Julio obviously is still with the Falcons but the biggest problem for them has been depth since that trade. Atlanta won that trade but not sure it has helped lead them to a ton of wins of late.

Now the RGIII trade yeah so far St. Louis is cleaning how with that trade. They definitely got some playmakers from that deal. The problem is can that now equal wins?

They were smart enough to hedge their bets and draft Cousins in the same draft - while everyone said - What the...!
