He hasn't played a damn snap in the Big XII yet.....

I don't care if he averages 3 passing tds, 2 running tds, 300 yrds passing and 150 rushing in the first 4 games.......


I'm not gettting excited about his future, or the future of our offense until they do it against a GOOD TEAM- LIKE TEXAS.......

I agree with you he has not done anything yet and has no business being in the conversation with crouch. I really get tired of all the pre-season hype we get on players. Last year it was green this year Martinez.

A good friend of mine is a former player and went practice the other day, he told me Martinez was seeing quite a few reps along with Lee. I guess you could read something into that or into Pelini's wording in the press conference yesterday, but like Steve Sipple said on Big Red wrap up last night you really are just reading tea leaves.

I hope Martinez is as good as people are saying but the odds are against it.

Martinez absolutely has the tools to be a good QB.........everyone needs to settle down though and realize the kid is a redshirt freshman.

This is one of the great things about getting Martinez on the field this early.......let him turn into something great. He won't be great this year, but he could potentially be what the Huskers need this year.

If I am remembering correctly, Crouch was not hyped too much before the season. I think it was all about Newcombe.

I went to Pasadena for that game, thats a couple thousand i am never getting back.

hey jwesh, i went out to cali for that game as well, the rose bowl was an exciting place to play, but it was a waste after how bad we got beat, still hurts,

Isn't the hype fun though....people need to quit being so uptight...we all know cody green is a long way away and may have digressed some....we know what lee can do blah blah....if martinez is chosen as the starter, pelini believes in him and thats good enuf for me....and the same goes with the other 2

I just believe that T Mart is a winner....you cant teach that.....nobody thought his school had a chance in hell at winning state and he carried them there.....and were talking Cali not freakin Iowa lol
