It's hard to believe the hype. I think we will see Lee starting and Martinez in some kind of role maybe from a wildcat or something. But for NU's style of football this year it will be mostly about game management and let the D win it for us .

Reading between the lines here, but in Pelini's news conference today he said he had a good idea who the starter would be but wouldn't name him because he didn't want to create a "circus". Well the only way there would be a "circus" is if it were anybody but Lee.

I will tell you right now Martinez is not just all hype......he has all the tools. The only question is, can he get it done on gameday?

I think the longer this drags on it because clearer that Lee did not win the battle. If Lee was the quarterback again; Pelini would not create any 'circus' by annoucing him the starter because for the most part everybody expected him to be 'the guy'. It's not like Pelini to hold anything back just to create controversy and it's not like he's trying to fool Western Kentucky. The only reason I see for not announcing is to give Martinez a little extra time before true circus takes over; the media.

I'll tell you guys that if a top rated CB says Martinez is the real deal; then I'd take it to the bank.

I think the key here is that Martinez is a winner at least he was on the hs level. A winning attitude is contagious. I would love to see martinez get a shot. He won that state here in cali and i just believe he has it in him to get the job done.

Can't compare him to tommy but he was a frosh when he got the chance and never looked back.

He hasn't played a damn snap in the Big XII yet.....

I don't care if he goes nuts.......

I don't care if Martinez starts.......

I don't care if he averages 3 passing tds, 2 running tds, 300 yrds passing and 150 rushing in the first 4 games.......


I'm not gettting excited about his future, or the future of our offense until they do it against a GOOD TEAM- LIKE TEXAS.......


I sick of buying this spring, pre-season hype only to be let down...

I'm not doing that shit this year.........
