Lol let's see if they even come out of the west.

And the Heat out of the east, it would seem you are praying they don't. Can't blame you. I can guarantee you one thing, there is no way in HELL that the Heat would come out of the West this season. Just no way.

I'm not scared of OKC, so praying is unnecessary.

Not out of reason to think the Heat would have been a 6 seed in the Western Conference.

Not out of the reason to think that Miami would dispatch OKC in 5 should they meet in the Finals.

Heat play better against good teams so it actually would help the Heat to face good competition more frequently. They don't get up to play the Hawks, Bobcats, and Sixers 4X each year.....Now if they were playing the Warriors, Clippers, and Thunder 4x per year that would be something they would actually get up for

Now there is some homer logic if I ever heard it. Your team is very inconsistent and playing better teams means you would have a worse record, plain and simple.

2-0 vs LAC
1-1 VS HOU
1-1 VS OKC
2-0 VS DAL
2-0 vs PHX
2-0 VS POR
1-1 VS GSW
1-1 VS MEM

Call me crazy but I think they would be just fine playing out west. I wouldn't expect Thunder fans to understand this but when you're the 2 time champs and been to the finals 3 straight years you don't get up to playing a shitty team on the 2nd night of a B2B.

Uh, if the Heat played in the West, they wouldn't be playing those teams only twice a season, they'd play them at least 4 times per season. That makes a difference. There would be fewer opportunities to rest because the West has teams like the Suns who won't make the playoffs in the West, but would be a 4 seed in the East.

I do not think MIA would necessarily win more games THIS year if in the West because they are resting so much. They would have won about the same number of games but I think the West would have won a few less.

The West is fake tough. They are very good and they score a lot of points but outside of a few outliers they do not play physical grind you down wear you out D or O. They are jump shooters and perimeter defenders both of which play into what MIA does best.

The entire East is built to beat the Heat, big, physical and grinding...and if that fails they are going all bush league on your ass. That is taxing.

Whether MIA wins more games is irrelevant, they would be much more rested if they were playing in the West the last 3 years.

Here is the reality of the situation in terms of the east and west. In the west there are 9 good teams, 1 avg team, and 5 bad teams. In the east there are 5 good teams, 2 avg teams, and 8 bad teams

45 wins and up= good team
40-42 wins=avg
37 wins or below= bad

So we're to assume that the team in the East (Miami) who's been to the Finals for the last 3 years would be a lower seed in the West? Makes perfect sense.

Outside of the second season, Miami been pretty good against the west.Last yr they went 25-5 against the big and bad western conference. In 11 and 14 they went 20-10 which is a win percent of 66 so basically if they played the west for 52 games instead of 30 they would've won about 35 games in 2011/2014 and about 43 or 44 last yr.

OH BS, you guys know I'm right. I said they would likely be a 6 seed at best in the West and the numbers bear that out. They would be a 5 with their current record and to say they would have a better record in the West is just crazy talk. In fact I was being kind with the 6 seed based on the level of inconsistency I have seen.
