This doesn't get rid of my criticisms of Kaepernick in the final interception in terms of not seeing the open guys underneath, etc., but let's remember the dude is also capable of making this type of throw.
I think it was Sherman that was defending, he JUMPED and threw it on a rope --- just where it needed to be, and there was a receiver open off to his right he could have dumped it off to but instead he laid it in there and got the TD. I still think the decision then was poor because it was the end of the game and they needed the yards, etc., but he was capable of making the throw.

I can state with a lot of confidence that I don't know of another qb who could have made a jump throw 35 yds downfield on a dime like that. Seriously.

And Sanchez would have fumbled the ball backwards into the other end zone.

Gotta look at his entire body of work if you're going to judge him. He's got a lot of potential but still needs to improve in a lot of areas if he is ever going to be a competent QB.

He's gotta improve on plenty. Pocket footwork, route anticipation, reading off coverage, post snap reads and adjustments - just the nuances of the QB position. Sometimes QBs either have this or not. Let's hope the coaches can find it somewhere in him.

That was one of the best and athletic throws I ever saw. I will never forget that throw. Crazy good.
