Congrats! I think it's awesome he's joining a team that's been on the bubble of playoff contention. Hopefully he'll be good enough to return them to the playoffs. I really hope he succeeds as a two-way player.

Well, this never came to fruition.

Ohtani and Trout on the same team and they can't manage to make the playoffs ( not even once ).

If they flounder again this year, they need to trade Ohtani at the trade deadline and get something back in return vs letting him leaving in FA and get nothing.
