QB- We won't discuss. We all know KC is the QB next season and CM will likely be the backup.
OL- the only position we need to upgrade is center. We have good young depth throughout the OL with plenty of player development possibilities. There is no need to waste draft capital at G or LT unless they are obviously the BPA at the pick. So center options other than possibly moving Long inside because Leeibeus is our only FA and good riddance...Stefan Wisniewski was only 2.5 mil in cap hit for 2015 and is 26. He has five years as a starter. I would definitely poke my head in and see what he is looking for...draft Nick Martin in the second or third round...draft Dan Voltz in 5th or 6th because he went to Wisconsin (seriously).
RB- we obviously need to do something here. Everybody not named Matt Jones is a FA. I am all about FA for this position. Chris Ivory (27), Lamar Miller (24), Doug Martin (26), Stevan Ridley (26), Ronnie Hillman (24), CJ Anderson (24), Charcandrick West (24) can all be had relatively cheap. I prefer CJ Anderson and resigning Chris Thompson but that is just me. I expect Doug Martin will get paid...Some really like the idea of drafting Eliot or He Ray in the first. I see that as a mistake. I like Byron Marshall in the seventh round though.
WR- I could see us doing all kinds of things here from renegotiating with Garçon and DJ but nothing else to cutting Garçon and signing Alshon Jeffrey (25) with a market value of 13 mil per season. Other cheaper free agents would be Rishard Matthews (26), Mohamed Sanu (26), Marvin Jones (25) but a very weak class...Draft class appears equally weak. There isn't nearly as much chatter about these guys as the last few draft classes. Michael Thomas is the only one I would like in the first. There are a couple mid round guys that may be interesting such as Josh Doctson, Derunnya Wilson, Rashard Higgins, and Kenny Lawler. Overall, I am happy with our current bunch though.
TE- Our only FA is Paulsen and I wouldn't mind resigning him and calling it a day. The only FA options that are remotely appealing are Dwayne Allen (25) and Coby Fleenor (27). I wouldn't be opposed to adding Hunter Henry in the first or waiting for Jake McGee later. Ultimately, I look forward to KC having a choice of TEs to throw to considering they are his favorite target.
