Well there is something to be said about Jarry having higher upside IMO. Pens were never going to keep 3 goalies, and whoever didn't make the cut would have to clear waivers.

But the biggest problem here is they weren't able to move Jack Johnson. What do they do now? Pretend he's salvageable?

Yeah disappointed they had to waive DeSmith. Jarry might have a larger ceiling but DeSmith was better in short spurts when needed.

As for Johnson I would just scratch him every game. He adds zero value and really put this team at a disadvantage. But with injuries we know he will get stuck playing and the thought of him and Gudbranson on the ice together scares the crap out of me.

Speaking of clearing waivers Sprong is out there. Would be funny if they brought him back for nothing.

Jesus this hurt to even read.

All I know is, Jarry better be ready ASAP cuz Murray is a ticking time bomb for injury.

Yep that’s what scares me especially knowing Jarry could easily play 40+ games.

Well its a decent gamble on Jarry. He just needs to live up to the hype.

Let’s hope. I am not sold as of now.
Well after watching the Pirates season, and just 3 weeks of Steelers football......I'd say my expectations couldn't be any lower for the Pens

At least with the Steelers and Pens there is a silver lining. Steelers in the AFC north and the Penguins still have Crosby/Malkin. The Pirates on the other hand flat out suck and are hopeless.
