Justin Verlander has a 2.87 DRA in 2016 so far.

Reminds me of some of my old scouting days.

I went to see UNC/Maryland and besides Alex White the guy who threw the hardest was a 3rd string catcher from Maryland during like a 20-2 beatdown.

The Dodgers are the first team to win a Cubs game started by Jake Arrieta since the Cubs were no-hit by Cole Hamels. The last time the Dodgers faced Arrieta, he threw a no-hitter.

MLB Network's draft comps are the absolute worst. I love how race is a factor in these comps too. Let's use Jason Heyward or Adam Jones as a comp for every black outfielder!

Seriously though, Kershaw has a lifetime ERA+ of 158. The only pitcher ahead of him is Mo, and he's a fucking relief pitcher. Kershaw's won three CYAs and has a 1.86 ERA over his last 3.5 seasons. He's only 28 years old. There's a pretty good chance Kershaw makes the HOF, and could end up being a top 10 pitcher of all-time when all's said and done.

He's already considered a HOF on the national level.

He's widely known as the best arm in the game.

yes he was a victim of winners fatigue for last year's cy young voting (plus recency bias due to Arrieta's 2nd half being his better half of the season).

But he's still known as the best pitcher on the planet.
