We didn't have any official visitors last week due to the 11am start time. But this week we will pull in a few. Not as dynamic a weekend as week 1 (though... how could it be?) but still lots of talent coming to Lincoln this weekend with more that COULD be on the way.

Alaric Williams (4-Star, ATH) [Gadsden, AL] - Alaric is a current Auburn commit but Nebraska's #1 target at RB for the 2017 class. The 4-star recruit has been committed to Auburn for over a year but has been looking around. Nebraska caught his eye, i'm not sure what the chances are but getting him to visit is pretty big.

Martin Andrus (3-Star, DT) [Los Angeles, CA] - One of the only big DL players we're in on in Cali, Andrus lives right down the road from USC where he does have an offer but Nebraska is in his top four. Nebraska likes him and Oregon is also in his top four. Winning this game could go a long way to having a shot with him. UCLA and USC are the primary teams in front right now.

Deiontae Watts (3-Star, DT) [Plano, TX] - Nebraska is trying to get back into Texas and they have a really good shot with Watts. The 6'3" 300 pound DT is already size ready for big time football and Nebraska has him really high in their list. Right now Oklahoma seems to be the front runner. Watts is okay with leaving the state so Nebraska has a shot but they need a good visit to pull even with Oklahoma this weekend.

Matt Sichterman (3-Star, OT) [Kings Mills, OH] - Sichterman has been a Nebraska commit since May 15th and has held steady since. Nebraska will look to hammer home why they are the place for him to be. The knock on Sichterman is his size, while he is a good height for a tackle, he lacks size (260 lbs) but that could change early on in his career. It's good to get him into Lincoln for an OV.

Jeremiah Hawkins (3-Star, WR) [Buena Park, CA] - Yet another WR from Cali that Nebraska is interested in. Hawkins was on Nebraska's radar early but chose to go to Cal instead. Well, with Grim leaving the door is open for another WR recruit and Hawkins could fit the bill. Nebraska looks to put a bit of doubt in his commitment to the Golden Bears this weekend.

Trajon Cotton (3-Star, S) [Sacramento, CA] - Cotton is probably the one closest to pulling the trigger for Nebraska this weekend. He's good friends with Lamar Jackson (played on same 7-7 team) and has a great relationship with coach Stewart. Interestingly enough his other finalists are California, UCLA and... Oregon. Nebraska lost out on Lenoir to Oregon earlier in the cycle but bringing Cotton to this game shows that they want to prove they are a better landing spot for Cotton.

Austin Allen (3-star, TE) [Aurora, NE] - Allen is out for a while with a knee injury but the Husker commit will be taking his official this weekend to Lincoln as well.

Willie Hampton (3-Star, LB) [West Palm Beach, FL] - Hampton committed to the Huskers in March and remains unwavering. HE is supposedly visiting this weekend though there hasn't been a confirmation.

Andrew Ward (3-Star, LB) [Muskegon, MI] - More now than ever Nebraska has inserted itself into Michigan in recruiting. The Huskers hosted multiple players from Michigan against Fresno and will be bringing in Andrew Ward this weekend. Riley obviously thinks he can go up against Harbaugh and Dantonio in Michigan and pull a few players down. The last player Nebraska recruited and got out of Michigan was Chris Patrick... a 3-star DE out of Ithica, MI in 2003.

Robert Porcher IV (3-Star, DE) [Orlando, FL] - Porcher has been committed for quite some time now and the underrated DE is having a good start to his senior season on the field. The last underrated DL to come out of Florida for Nebraska was named Kevin Maurice... you might recall he is currently starting at DT for Nebraska.

I really like Willie Hampton in this class. I think he is a diamond in the rough.

6' 1" and 220. Probably a little bigger in his senior season. Runs a 4.5 40.

American Heritage beat Don Bosco Prep 21-0.

If we can take out oregon we should be able to crack the top 25 and get some recruiting momentum back, this game was setting up to be a real pull for visitors but it's turning out meh

Darnay gave us the bird for this Saturday as well.

Clouse broke it down a few days ago. Darnay is done with Nebraska.

The only way we could possibly sway Holmes is to win a B1G championship this year IMHO.

The door is still open a crack... Darnay is done taking visits until November anyway (at least that's what his dad says.) He's been here lots of times and isn't announcing until January. Nebraska has time, just need to stay in his top 5 until in home season IMO and we still have a shot.

But as you said, winning is a must. We deflate this season and we can definitely kiss him goodbye.

The recruits that were there, had to absolutely, positively love that game.

The stadium was rocking.
The Cornhuskers won.

Yeah, baby.
