Palmer will have a comeback, comeback, comeback... wait for it... comeback season.
One more comeback season and he'll get a free waffle iron.

Well, I suppose it would be rather reactionary of me to base Palmer's prospects on a few series in a meaningless preseason game. Shame on me. Probably would have just been easier to look at his numbers from the last five years and make some predictions based on that.
As for Moore..... That had much more to do with making fun of how much these guys are pumped up during 'draft season' vs. what actually happens when they put on the pads. He was a fine college quarterback, but the scouts were weary of his potential for a reason.
1. And you'd still be wrong. In either case, still pretty ironic considering you began this thread.
2. The point isn't what anyone said about Moore in the past or now, whether it be fans or scouts. The irony of creating a thread about it though after one preseason game is still appalling.

If Palmer's numbers don't 'improve' it's reasonable to suggest he won't continue to be a starting quarterback - At least not for the Raiders.

I think it's funny that you say this now when you were very comfortable going on record after one Cam Newton preseason game.... Of course, you were wrong so you might want to forget it ever happened.
And where are they going to find a better than middle of the pack QB to replace him? Leinart? Pryor?
They don't grow on trees.
The draft..... Not saying they'll be successful in finding one, but they'll probably convince themselves that they should. Whether it's right or wrong, teams replace quarterbacks fairly quickly these days and I don't see Palmer lasting in Oakland with mediocre numbers.
On the other hand, he could have put up crappy numbers for the next decade in Cincy, and Mike would have never replaced him.
Oh, and btw, I still stand by my assessment that Cam will never get passed the top 10. Maybe top 8 when guys begin to retire, but he'll never be in the upper tier. I haven't been proven wrong yet.
