So......after endless 'reports'...
Henry Thomas says nothing has changed as far as Bosh/Wade mindset ...
and calls bullshit on the ' report' of Bosh preferring a max elsewhere.

Which is why I don't read too much into rumors and potential breaking stories during this time of the year. Everything is speculation at this point. The only thing I care about are official signings. None of the major dominoes have fallen yet. I'll react when it does.

I will say I was highly disappointed when I saw that Spencer Hawes signed for only the mid level. I'm not sure if Miami was ever in the running or if Lebron taking his goddamn precious time (yes I am growing a bit impatient as well) played a role in it...but I would have loved to have Hawes as our starting center.

Oh well, good add by the Clips. Good for them.

So Melo to LA, and Love in a trade and sign involving Gasol and some other players? :laugh3:
I didn't say a word. The name of the thread is news and rumors. I believe that NY may still be in the lead for Melo...but since we're throwin around rumors and stories, that's one that deserved to be thrown around

I'll play. Both coming this year, or Melo now and Love next year?
I'll say 3-5 seed in the West?

If I were to venture a guess, I'd say that it's to show 'Melo that Kobe isn't done just yet. As for Love, as Hambombs pointed out, he lives in L.A. He also went to UCLA, so he's probably there a lot in the off-season. A lot of NBA players play pickup games at UCLA in the off-season.

Boris Diaw is worth 7 million a season.

He always had great all around skills, but he could not stop eating.
Fat Diaw is a waste of space. In Shape Diaw is a very good player.

As long as he stays away from the buffet, he is a great signing.
He is an excellent to elite defender who can pass a little, shoot a little, postup a little, screen and roll a little, hit free throws, and is a good clubhouse guy.

On the open market, he is not a star player, but in the Spurs system he is almost irreplaceable.
Just stay away from Krispy Kreme and the Spurs will be very happy with him.

I have no idea what to say at this point. I'm still under the assumption that it's a longshot to land Melo, but if we did, the only way I could see Love coming this year if he demanded a trade to La, and even then it would be a longshot. I'd have to see what kind of team that they would put around them. They'd be competitive however...but at this point, I'll just wait back and see what happens. There's way too many if's, and's, and maybe's flyin around

Well, now the assistant coach is backing up what the assistant A.D said, so make of that what you will

1. I think Kobe will still play at a high level IF he can stay healthy. I don't think anyone thinks he forgot how to play the game.

2. I know these guys play with each other all summer. On the court they compete, as they should, but they in a lot of cases are good friends off the court. They all talk, they all plan, they all plot.
Some people act like the Heat Big 3 talking before uniting was some groundbreaking event.

3. As far as Melo, I saw where his 1st 4 years in LA would 'only' be around 8M less than NY. I'm trying to think of a reason why he thinks LA would be a better situation than NY, but I can't.
