I just think the notion that Kobe isn't willing to take anyone's help is funny. He tore his Achilles because he was expected to be the most consistent scorer, guard the best player on the opposing team and take on the ballhandling duties of a PG every single night. It was an amazing spectacle to watch but his body eventually gave out from carrying the Lakers to the playoffs. After experiencing that, to say that he wouldn't gladly pass it to someone really good ('Melo and LBJ are really good) is laughable to me.

But StarBigD has shown his lack of knowledge on the Lakers time and time again. It's like you said Trojan, this guy clearly hasn't been watching the Lakers anymore than the few times they play the Mavs every year.

You guys are hilarious.

Kobe averages 4.8 assists FOR HIS CAREER.

Tell me again how wonderful a passer he is.

Take off the blinders. He's simply not that guy......and for a good chunk of his career, it's worked for him. I never said he didn't have the ability to do it......but his career has PROVEN he has not been WILLING to do it. For anyone to think at this point, 18 years in, that he will, is just wishful thinking. He is what he is.

But go ahead, pull out one month or two out of 18 YEARS and tell me again how wrong I am. The facts support me, not you.

Yeah, because it's not like Kobe ever adapts his game to better suit deteriorating athleticism or anything.

You act like 4.8 assists per game puts him in Yinka Dare territory. Last year, there were 3 SGs who averaged more than 4.8 assists per game and in 2012/2013 there were also 3. One of those players was indeed Kobe Bean Bryant who was tied with Monta Ellis for most assists per game among SGs with 6.0.

If you compare his numbers to Steve Nash, then obviously Kobe is going to come up short, but that is a really dumb comparison.

Exactly! And lets not forget that Kobe's first couple of years in the league, he didn't get the minutes, which bring his career numbers down.

See the comments made by Charles Barkely back on TNT basketball after Kobe broke his tibial table last year.

Kobe will make him cry

If he can go somewhere that he can trust his teammates not to mess with his wife, I think he will bounce back.

Not sure Kobe would tolerate him, but he could be a real asset in the right place.

So......after endless 'reports'...
Henry Thomas says nothing has changed as far as Bosh/Wade mindset ...
and calls bullshit on the ' report' of Bosh preferring a max elsewhere.

In all seriousness, it might not be the worst thing and could possibly help both teams. Pau could make the Pacers more of threat to the Heat. As for Hibbert, sometimes a player just needs a change in environment.

If the Lakers don't get 'Melo or Lebron and Hibbert plays well more consistently, he would help the them. However, isn't Hibbert on a max deal? If so, then I'd rather save the cap space, unless his contract is up soon.

Quite weekend. Calm before the storm. Melo might make a decision tomorrow.
