Love is opting out and will resign a 5 yr $120mil contract next year.. how can they afford all that? Lebron at max, Irving at max and Love at max? Miami was only able to sign the 3 because they all took less then max.

Has that been confirmed? Love always said he wanted to test free agency in the summer. Plus like you said, no team can afford three ma contracts.

Bad move for Cleveland IMO. Wiggins is a great prospect and considerably cheaper than Love.

An lets not forget Lebron, Love and Irving were all undisputed #1 options last year - this year one of them is going to be #3. They'll be going from 20/25 shots per game to 10 shots.

It rarely works out when three superstars join teams. Miami was a big exception but Wade and Bosh knew beforehand they were going to be #2 and 3.

Obviously we'll have to wait and see but either Love or Irving are going to be EXTREMELY disappointed!

What's the difference in what Miami did and what Cleveland doing now? 4 years now it was the biggest conspiracy theory and now everyone is praising Cleveland now?

Well the key is next year he will resign. They have draft picks, they get rid of Haywood (10.5 mil), and Varajeo's contract is about 10 mil too. So many options to open up cap space and it shouldn't be too difficult.

Lebron is the ultimate leader, he will make it work.

Cleveland bench is very old just as Miami bench was. Will they even be able to keep waiters/Thompson when their deals are up?

People talk like LeBron is god. It is hard going from #1 option to #3 especially when the ball is always in your hand

Has Irving completed a full season yet? I thought he was a little injury prone.. Miller was lucky to finish last season with no injury, I like Miller so for his sake I hope he can stay healthy another year.

I'm no expert, but it can all probably be done using Birds Rights, since they will all be under contract during this season.

It all boils down to whatever Gilbert promised James about obviously paying any and all luxury tax.

How can he not get absolutely hammered?
But I guess the extra projected income James will bring in makes it worth it to him in his mind.

In all seriousness, James basically gets to play team owner, GM, and everything else...he was basically handed an NBA team for as long as he agrees to stay there.

The question is, can/will the Cavs actually fuck this up and not win a title?

Any player under contract can be kept, I believe, if you're willing to pay.

We'll have to wait and see. On paper the team looks great. But so did the Lakers two years ago with Kobe, Dwight, Gasol and Nash.

Calm down Heat fans, they still have to play the games. But Lebron assembled a hell of a roster, everything still has to go their way and have chemistry or none of it will work. I trust Lebron though.

Bird rights won't work for Love has the player has to be with the team for at least three years. Not sure if this works for lebron either as he was with the Heat the last 4 years.

The bench doesn't matter, they play limited minutes they need veterans that can still play for voices in the locker room and for key situations. It is very important they got some of these guys.
