Instead of an F- grade, the Rockets managed to salvage a D+ grade.

They literally could have hired a 2nd grader and did better.

All the talks about their brilliant front office need to stop immediately.

So Chris Bosh stabs them in the back at the last second and the front office is awful now? That's just absurd. Way to live in the moment

Bulls have a great PF/C combo. A lot of Depth now. Noah, Gasol, Gibson and now Mirotic. WOW

WoW is right. Defensively the Bulls are going even better which is mind boggling because they were already great. My only concern is Gasol being 34, a lot of centers really lose a lot of mobility at this age.

I don't think so. Thibs really likes him. Only way for a starting SG or SF. I kind of feel bad for Gibson. He worked so hard to become a starter and he was just about to get it and then we sign Gasol.

He shouldn't feel too bad. He's getting paid decently and he see's heavy minutes in the rotation. If anything his career will be prolonged as he's a really solid PF. Shouldn't matter that he doesn't start.

I think Houston took a big step backwards.

He will be a PF now. I don't see many PF guarding him. He is still good defensively.

They did, but it wasn't because they made the wrong moves. Lin and Asik were bad contracts who did not fit their plan.

Denver is the front runner again for Miller so Cavs may miss out on Mike and Ray

Well they were stupid enough to overpay Lin & Asik in 2012 to get them away from their previous teams.

Shouldn't had never gave either of them those contracts

McDermott isn't just a spot up shooter. He can drive. Kid looks good.

I can't wait for this season. I just hope Rose stays healthy.

What I don't get about teams and RFA is why wait for another team to give them a ridiculous contract before you offer them a deal? Houston could still have Parsons if they offered him a deal first

Can't argue with that. Still though, look at where they were 3 years ago. They came very close with Bosh.

DJ Augustin would be a nice PG for a team that needs a scoring PG.

Gasol is a great player and great pick-up by the Bulls, I'm surprised more teams didn't try to grab this guy during free agency, a PF/C as versatile and skilled as Gasol is hard to find. And you are right he is good defensively, very underrated defensively.

3yr/17 mil for Mirotic and mid level for Pau > Melo for 15 mil

I agree and disagree. Reason I wanted Melo because he gives us a another pure scorer and would take a lot of pressure off of rose. Plus if Rose gets hurt again, Melo would be able to carry the team and we would still have a chance to win.

I also like the Combo of Gasol and Mirotic playing with Noah and Gibson.

Houston made mistakes long before it came down to Chris Bosh.

They pushed Asik out the door expecting to get Carmelo or Lebron.

They put Carmelo in a Rockets jersey with Lin's number on a billboard making that awkward and completely reducing any possible value for trade.

They converted a 900K salary of Parsons into 15 million believing they could get Melo.

Bosh was just a hail mary hoping to save disaster.

Houston self-inflicted their own wounds.
