Unless Riley sees the writing on the wall and tells James he'll sign Anthony and let Bosh go to Houston?

Reality is, Bosh couldn't do anything about it, so he really calls nothing.

If they just renounce Bosh's rights and sign Anthony that would be pretty messed up to do to Bosh, right? Anthony, LeBron, and Riley would all, to some extent be screwing him over.

Now if Riley can persuade Bosh to go ahead and sign with Houston like its his choice... maybe. Even then, I don't know that there's enough confidence that Melo would come to Miami.

I have a feeling, this isn't happening today.

This will be next week, for two reasons:

1. Lebron hasn't met with anyone from Cleveland, he doesn't even know the coach

2. They are waiting for Bosh to leave, to recruit Melo

Except.....if James signs, they can't afford Love.

Check the CBA, it restricts trades like that.

They'd definitely have to unload Varejao... or maybe a combination of Waiters and Bennett. With Love's current salary of 15 mill, Varejoa at 10 mill, Waiters and Bennet around 6... plus the extra cap space cleared in the Nets-Celtics trade... its very doable.

Everyone is discussing how the current Cavs roster would look with LeBron... but I really think that if LeBron goes to Cleveland... they'll quickly pull the trigger on a Wiggins for Love deal.

Minnesota would be stupid to accept it. Pretty sure Boston/warriors deals are better

Interesting comment. How about the Lakers signing Melo and Lebron and trading Gasol or whatever for love?
Not enough money for that, and it's likely not enough money to sign Pau too...but we're out on the Lebron race anyways. It's either Melo, Pau, and possibly Isiah Thomas, or we move on to plan b(which may still include Isiah Thomas)

Melo, LeBron, and Kobe at max deals > $20 mill leaves no room for a Love trade because of his $15 million contract.

Do the Cavs even want to move Waiters? He's the next D Wade (according to Cavs fans):laugh3:

Good point, but (call me crazy) can Kobe resign for a lower salary per year?

I disagree, but I guess it depends on their feelings on Wiggins. His ceiling is WAY higher than any other piece I've seen in a Love trade. He has the potential to be a franchise type player... a better one than Love. I think it would definitely please fans.

Also, there would be more to the trade than just Wiggins to make the salary swap work... likely Varejao. Maybe Waiter or even Thompson.

Also, Love has the ability to kill potential trades with the Warriors and Celtics and just might if he knows a chance at playing with LeBron is on the table.
