UVA game on a Friday
Any other Friday night would be awesome but why black Friday when all the students are still gone? Why make the students that want to see the game leave their family 2 days early? I guess I don't see the appeal. If its Friday night, that could be really awesome

I don't like the Friday game. It'll mean less family time for me personally, when wife and I already have to split time between families on Thursday. With that said, for a family that is totally connected to VT, this might really be a fun change. If the planning is done on Tech's part (evening game, dorms open early, appropriate on-site promotions), this could be a positive. Tech asking a lot of the fans here: a prime TV slot is mandatory.
As far as student attendance, this development is really going to hurt UVa. Tech's long break had most of my friends back in town on Friday anyway. Some students will miss out, but there are enough students within reasonable driving distance to still show up strong. UVa students get three days break though. They might as well not even go home if they want to go to the game Friday.
WRT away games: I agree. The best thing about being in the ACC is the short away drives.
free post, take a look Gobblers, what's old is new again. Interesting.
IMO the best guesses so far are Harrison confirming his commitment or Drew Harris, but who knows.<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Hokies&src=hash">#Hokies</a> Willard just posted and you know what that means, news of some sort if about to hit... <a href="http://t.co/mtoKwFYPq6">http://t.co/mtoKwFYPq6</a></p>— VTScoop247 (@VTScoop247) <a href="https://twitter.com/VTScoop247/statuses/427876284463841280">January 27, 2014</a></blockquote>

11 pages of bullshit because one guy made a thread with a vague title?
Forgive me if I don't plan on paying for the 'scoop' any time soon.
Eh, I think that's actually a common thing with executives in numerous forms of industry. Hell, some companies even pay their salary as a pension for life. No biggie.
