I was just at Mike's Friday. Same as it's always been. Sad news for a long time Blacksburg staple.

Sad news for sure. I always liked that place. Hopefully it stays up and running.

Tell me about Vegas fellow Hokies. Going out there the week after the UVa game for a conference. I won't have time to go anywhere out of town, and the only gambling I'll likely do is sports betting (or perhaps a token blackjack round just to say I did). My first priority is finding a reasonably priced watering hole.

If you are doing sports betting you may not need to find a watering hole.....many of the sports book lounges offer free drinks and food (tipping expected). Fremont St. (downtown) Casinos are the place to go for playing blackjack....has the lowest dollar bets and best odds of winning (smaller decks).

So I tried Taco Bell's XXL nachos today that are supposedly a pound of nachos. It went as follows:

About 5 minutes in- "Hey, these are pretty good"

About halfway through- "Omg, this was a horrible idea"

Upon finishing the dish- "If I call 911, will they get here before my stomach explodes? I better leave a goodbye note just in case"

Maryland seems to be leaving, as ive been saying for ages if so, VT to #GodsConference becomes a real thing again. Will be interesting to see what the legal battle with maryland and exit fee brings. And then gotta see what fsu does. If they leave, it helps our chances majorly.

Yeah, I'm not buying it. 50 mil is a big buyout. I'm not sure Under Armor would pay that.

The thing about the buyout is this... A. Idk how rock solid it is but B. the big ten (or insert conference here) would likely pay for some or all of the ACC buyout, and then have a payment plan setup to where a certain amount is deducted from the balance each year from that school's share of the conference TV rights until it is all paid off.

Foster isnt even in the mix for tennessee's job. Jon gruden or charlie strong are who they want most. Dan mullen is another name to watch.

And in terms of assistant coaches, idk what will be left of their offensive staff, but their offense is stacked, so if we cant tony franklin, i would love to go after their entire O staff if they go on the market.

But seriously, how much do you guys think beamer will handcuff the program from getting better with this next move? Will he even fire the right people/bring in the right people? I feel like he is just going to maintain the status quo, or do the next closest thing like hire the fridge. We need a move for the future!!! This next phase is CRITICAL for the next era of VT football

Does Tennessee have any good assistant coaches we should go after?

Their offensive line coach is really good and has their line playing out of their minds right now. I think I remember hearing during the USC game that they had only given up something like 8 sacks on the season.
