Don't like the OSU kid pick, kid from Clemson would have been better pick.

Agreed. I think they could've gotten a more proven guy in this spot - they instead went for somewhat of a project - but at least he is one that does have all the tools to turn into something - he isn't far off

Orlando Brown out of OU, who I thought was one of the better OL, going to the Ravens - they are having a good draft so far

Small in size and poor coverage skills is what I read :(

Yes - I have read the same thing - but I am intrigued about the speed he will bring to the position - which we need as much as anything at that position.

He is small for the position but the Fins need a guy who can cover shifty and quick RBs & slot WRs. I have read that he plays well in space and can also cover TE's. His stats aren't bad. In 2017 he had 8 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, forced a fumble and 3 pass breakups. I want count him out before he has a chance to prove himself.

It's interesting that the Fins have two LBs that played together at OSU. (McMillan also)

Speed is good, hope he proves me wrong.

I just think we will have enough on the back-end of the defense to cover, especially TEs - where I am alright with his lack of size given his speed.

As far as the coverage issue - thats why OTA's and all that other off-season fun stuff exist for both veterans and rookies - the kid will get his chance to be coached and show what he can do

Matt Burke is running out of excuses to diversify his defense - he's got depth and versatility at all levels now to do a better job of putting these guys in positions to succeed.

3rd round is not over yet - but like I said last night, some good prospects should remain for the taking tomorrow.

A kicker, punter and a LS are needs of desperation at this point... I am kidding , of course.

Ravens do it again - this time getting the next best TE in Mickey Andrews, although he is a one-dimensional TE as a pass-catcher but a damn good one at that. I am saying this as a Canes fan about an FSU player

I doubt he gets picked tonight - but keep an eye out for FSU DE, Josh Sweat - a great talent who didn't live up to the hype out of HS into college but the talent is there

As if they needed it - , Ronnie Harrison to the Jags to make that defense even more dangerous

We could be getting both a K and P today. Keep an eye out for BGSU P Joseph Davidson. Even though this is an excellent P class, Davidson is the only top P to be left-footed, which Gase prefers.

Day 3 of the draft is almost upon us - it should be a very active day

I rather not spend a draft pick - ESPECIALLY given the fact that we still some other needs to fill.

I think, unless said P and/or K is thought to be HOF material, the Dolphins can wait to fill these positions through undrafted-free-agents - trades and free agency later on before the season.

Lets see how it all shakes out

I don't think we have many other "needs" now, per say. And how many needs are going to be addressed by an adequate player in R6 or R7? They'll probably be JAGs at best, with a good chance to be cut. Might as well use those spots for good talents at P & K at 4-yr rookie contract prices.

a heart condition for Maurice Hurst has been cited as a reason why Hurst has slipped, according to NFL Network, Mike Manock - he should be ok but obviously a concern for some teams

Antonio Callaway to the Browns - lots of off the field issues that has prevented him to live up to the hype in college but great potential - first round talent they get in the 4th. They are having a good draft -- but lets see what happens when the games begin
