Scout.com: Geoff Schwartz Profile
Carolina Panthers free agent offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz has agreed to a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings, according to a league source.
He also visited the San Francisco 49ers and was pursued by the Detroit Lions.
Schwartz became an unrestricted free agent when the Panthers didn't give him a restricted free agent tender offer.
The Vikings cut former Pro Bowl offensive guard Steve Hutchinson before free agent, and he has now joined the Tennessee Titans.
He missed all of last season with a hip injury, but is healthy now.
The 6-foot-6, 331-pounder from the University of Oregon is a former Panthers seventh-round draft pick who started every game two seasons ago.
He has played right tackle and right guard.
Schwartz, 25, has played in 32 career games with 19 starts.
