Baalke seems to be all about the low risk-high reward guys. Since I imagine Cox came very very cheap.

I don't know how agents do it. Lots of coffee and cocaine I guess... cause I'd be freakin exhausted if I spent some time yesterday working out a deal for Randy and then flew into New Orleans this morning to finish up a deal for Colston.... and then had to start working on deals for the rest of my clients.

Yeah I don't know how I could put up with flying 100,000 miles a year.

isn't that the guy who is trial for r*pe? wtf

He got acquitted because they could not prove that Cox had sex with that chick that night, even though the DNA test on the fetus showed it was Cox's child. The chick passed out from a roofie and woke up pregnant with Cox's child.... hmmm?

I'm so glad to see Mike Sing was the culprit behind me not liking Baalke. Baalke is the man now.

Baalke and Harbaugh must feel the locker room presence is solid and strong, because so far we are signing guys that could have a negative effect on the locker room.

I guess that gold star Mike Singletary ranking is out the window? :-)

Just don't turn it into the Bengals locker room.

49ers signed CB Perrish Cox to a two-year contract.
Cleared of sexual assault charges last Friday, the 2010 fifth-round pick will get a chance to revive his career in one of the league's most dominating defenses after sitting out in 2011. His signing could indicate the 49ers don't expect to re-sign free agent Carlos Rogers. Although Cox had an excellent rookie season for the Broncos in 2010, he'll likely open the year behind Tarell Brown, Chris Culliver and Tramaine Brock on the depth chart.

I would think this means Rogers is gone.

I don't think so, I just think Baalke realizes that in the NFC teams need as many DBs with size and speed that they can get. The Saints, Packers and Giants all have/had 3-4 legitimate receiver threats... I think the 49ers are just trying to match those teams.

Adam Caplan (twitter):

Perrish Cox can play inside or outside CB, also played for 49ers DB coach Ed Donatell with the Broncos.
