Meachem is a goner for them. I don't think they have the cap room for Nicks even with them putting a small number in the first year of Colston's deal. Nicks wants to be the highest paid, he'll need to go elsewhere for that.

Dammit, the WR market was so awesome a few weeks ago. After all the tags and Colston signing, the good but cheaper guys are going to be the ones you'll have to overpay for just to get.

I think Wayne might be the best one of the bunch, but I have a feeling that he's going wherever Manning goes.

I think I want the 49ers to go get Garcon now. 70 catches for 947 yards and 6 TDs without manning tells me that the kid has some ability, hell, that was his best season as a pro.... without Manning.

The main reason I voted VJ in the poll we had was because he was the one I felt would actually make it to the market. The only thing I have been surprised by is Moss signing with us. Garcon is probably going to be too spendy for us. Bring on Meachem!

You're probably right about Garcon, his age will make him too pricey. Meachem will be more than fine by me too, whatever it takes to keep someone like Swain off the team.

Eagles sign tackle Herremans to three-year extension | ProFootballTalk

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Tuesday that they have signed offensive tackle Todd Herremans to a three-year contract extension.

According to Adam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com, the deal is worth just over $21 million in “new money,” and contains slightly more than $11 million guaranteed.

Herremans is now under contract through 2016. He had two years left on his old deal with scheduled salaries of $2.2 million (2012) and $2.6 million (2013). So the contract has been upgraded to a five-year, $25.8 million agreement.

Herremans is entering his age-30 season. Moving out to right tackle from left guard, Herremans started all 16 games in 2011

Titans re-sign safety Babineaux, linebacker Bailey

While at the same time pursuing free agent quarterback Peyton Manning, the Tennessee Titans are actively keeping their own.

Terry McCormick of Titan Insider reports that the team has agreed to terms with safety Jordan Babineaux, who’s been a priority for the team to keep since last season ended. Babineaux will be Tennessee’s starting strong safety in 2012, playing across from franchise player Michael Griffin. Griffin is the free safety.

John Glennon of the Nashville Tennessean also reports that the club has retained linebacker Patrick Bailey. Bailey received a multi-year deal. He is a core special teamer.

I think we're realistically in the Meachem, Royal, Morgan tier.

Here are some other teams with reported interest in Soliai:

Soliai has suitors, but Peyton chase could be a factor | ProFootballTalk

Soliai played under the franchise tag in 2011, and he’ll hit the market at 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday. A league source tells PFT that the Broncos, Dolphins, Chiefs, Colts, 49ers, Patriots, and Falcons are interested.

But three of those teams (Denver, Miami, San Fran) reportedly are (or, at to the Niners, may be) in the Peyton chase. And so, while other teams that aren’t maneuvering for Manning are interested in Soliai, it’s hard to max out the market if half of the interested teams are twiddling their thumbs for Peyton.

My top WR free agent target now is Eddie Royal.

He's an experienced return guy and slot WR. He had a great rookie year and then didn't have the stats since then with the Denver QB and WR carousel.

Then I would still go after a bigger WR in the draft. Hill, Streeter, Toon, that kind of 6'3"+ WR.

Random tidbit to pass along: Just read that Randy Moss and Josh Morgan have the same agent - Joel Segal. Colston also is a part of his stable.

I don't know how agents do it. Lots of coffee and cocaine I guess... cause I'd be freakin exhausted if I spent some time yesterday working out a deal for Randy and then flew into New Orleans this morning to finish up a deal for Colston.... and then had to start working on deals for the rest of my clients.
