I guess if Hall of Famer Peyton Manning sucks so bad why did the great GM John Elway sign him?

That just means Sanders really isn’t that great of a WR. Really good wide receivers look good even if they have shitty quarterbacks(see Deandre Hopkins or Larry Fitzgerald), average WR’s who only look good with really good QB’s aren’t that impressive.

Yes and no. I wouldn’t call Sanders a great WR when compared to first ballot hall of famers. I’d call him a very good WR. Fitz and Hopkins are first ballot elite WR’s. Two good classes to be in but we are comparing him to two first ballot hall of famers. Fitz had a good QB most of his career until he got older and declined. He had Kurt Warner a hall of fame QB for the prime of his career sooo yeah. Carson Palmer after in which Arizona threw 50 times a game with. Hopkins IMO is the best WR in the game and did pretty remarkable things with Brian Hoyer throwing him the ball. I mean you can’t expect Sanders to scoop 80 passes a season off the ground from crud QB’s. Hoyer at least aires it out and let Hopkins make a play. Sanders is a separation WR he isn’t gonna win one on one jump balls. Totally different types of WR’s. Hopkins is gonna excel anywhere as long as he has a QB who can throw him one on one balls he is gonna win the majority of his battles. Sanders is crafty he needs a smart QB on the same page to make him shine.
